Washing a Quilt With Wool Batting

I'm starting my DD (she asked :D ) on hand quilting - printed panel and using some wool batting I was given. It will be quilted about 3 inches.
How should this be washed after it's completed? Going to be a lap quilt.

Do you have any idea which brand of wool batting it is? The only wool battings I trust for machine wash and dry are Hobbs brand and Quilter's Drea brand. Other brands I would probably machine wash (speed wash or hand wash cycles) in cold water and lay flat to dry.

Gee the things you can find out if you READ THE LABEL:
It is Nature's Comfort by St Peter's Woolen Mill (woolenmill.com)
Right on the website ... colour me embarrassed ...

Depends on the brand of wool batting. Some can be washed others can't! Hope you kept the original bag.
