I have two old quilts. i do not know how old, but old. There is nothing wrong with them except the batting is all gone.

We have several quilts from my husband's grandmother, The quilts that were just used one in awhile show no wear.
There are two quilts that the binding is worn and falling off. These quilts have been used anytime any of us are sick. My dh told our kids they were get well hugs from Grandma Sheets who so special to us before she passed. Talk about well love quilts. LOL!

I have one on my bed that is 35 years old (first quilt I made, almost). Binding had to be replaced several years ago. Backing is still going strong.
I used a variety of fabrics on the top - the cheap, flimsy ones were replaced first. Now even some of the "Good quilt cottons" are showing holes. Unfortunately the lining material (eek!) is still there!! Can't believe I used that!

To be honest, I treat it terribly - no pets, but it winds up on the floor a lot. It is hand quilted, which seems to have held up well.
