Just curious which method those who are quilting professionally find it best to invest in. I make custom quilts from ribbons, photo transfer, tee shirts, etc. and am looking for a good venue to have prospective customers see photos of my work. I do have a website but find it incredibly hard to update. Any suggestions to increase business would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Try Etsy.com

All of the above for creating and maintaining a web presence, along with Twitter and LinkedIn. Etsy, Artfire and Big Cartel for sales and reaching potential customers.

which ever you choose, be prepared they are time consuming to maintain! Some of the pro's pay people to be them on Twitter, FB and even blogs now!

Wordpress is free, it is a blog, you can make it look much like a website.
That is what I use.

Facebook, I do this also, Easy!

I do a blog, but not to sell items.

I think no matter what you choose, you will have to spend time (or pay someone else to spend the time) doing the updating. Just part of the cost of e-commerce.
