Wedding quilt suggestions

I would like to make a quilt for my son whom is getting married on June 21st. Right now I am in the midst of moving, so I am thinking of cutting out pieces that each guest can write a love sediment on and I can piece it after the wedding when I have time. The colors for the wedding are pale yellow and rose and 145 guest will attend. I was thinking of using the wedding colors but not sure of design or pattern. Please help me with your suggestions. Pic's would be appreciated to. thank you Grace

Have you thought about having guests sign on a large piece of fabric that can be used for the backing. It would take the stress off having guests sign on individual blocks.

http://www.bethanyreynolds.com/Kidsquilt/Kidsquilt.html This is the signature quilt we are doing for our family reunion. It is real easy We use 6 in muslin squares and for the corner we use 5 in charms

well with the colors chosen I would go with something simple and like holice said, use a sheet of fabric for people to sign it is the easiest and simplest thing to do. as for the "front" or other side you can do a thousand different things depending on the size of fabric that you used for the signing sheet. this pattern would look great in the colors chosen, at least to me. it is called a labyrinth quilt. I have made two without a pattern but you can get one online if you would like. I can look for the company that I saw this pattern from. this top was cut in one day and pieced in the next. if you have a whole day to devote to cutting and sewing you could get it done in one day. in the center is a star pattern that you cant see very well. I will look for the other quilt that I have made from this pattern.

here is a link to a post about the other quilt that I have done. It is not complete and the center squares are missing but they are green like the points in the center area. http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...n-t183760.html

On 4/6/12, a board member (QM) showed us a scrappy quilt, she said it had two names - Vestibule or Square Cross. The squares were cut at 5.5, 2.5 and 1 3/8". You could use the rectangle in the rows between the squares for the guests of the wedding to sign. She used a fabric with a pattern in this area, but you could reverse and use a muslin in this area, and border with a solid piece. Search for - scrappy UFO finally finished. Good luck

Sorry but I am not sure what a Tennessee Waltz is. Could you post a pic, that would be helpful.

I like that block and I like the way it sort of has a Celtic Look. My future daughter in law would like it quite a bit. Unfortunately , my son is not to fond of stars. Thank you for your suggestion.
