I purchased this pattern: http://www.quiltingwithroxanne.com/patternpage3.htm because I heard that it was much simpler to do than the more traditional instructions. I haven't done it yet because I want to get the "must-do" quilts out of the way first, but I am really looking forward to working on it.

I made two DWRs at the same time. Not hard, just time consuming and tedious! I won't make another one any time soon.

There are about as many variations for patterns as there are quilts themselves. I made my first one as an applique. I highly recommend it. Find an arc pattern that you like and then set it with a square..its very forgiving and fast to finish. For a more traditional pattern..I just ran across one last week that got my attention in the "Lap Quilting by Georgia Bonesteel" book..as while she gets hers together in a qayg method the pattern is easily adaptable for the more traditional method.

I took a Double Wedding ring class from someone famous but I forget who since it was so long ago and it is STILL NOT finished. If you are just off slightly, everything gets out of whack !!! Good Luck. Maybe just try and do a table runner. Just a thought !!

Phillips Fiberart has re-issued Rings That Bind. It is a quilt as you go Double Wedding Ring. There used to be a video of it on Kaye Wood website.Phillips Fiberart is a great company to do business with. Cherryl has invented many tools to make quilting easier. Give them a try!

If you have an accuquilt they make a die , this would help with the cutting of all of those tiny pieces . It is very expensive though. I bought a used accuquilt from ebay with several dies and the DWR was one of them . When I looked at prices to re-sell it I was shocked !

Look at the book and templates from www.flynnquilt.com. He has an easy method for a wedding ring quilt.
