I use starch and 505 and haven't had a problem.

i use starch and whatever brand of basting spray they sell at walmart. never a problem on cotton batting.
it's a waste of time on poly. |

I have never had a problem with spray adhesive sticking when I use starch, but I have found that with June Tailor I need to really spray the pieces and then when I think I have enough, I spray again!
The only spray that I don't have to use a lot of to be successful is Sullivan's and that stuff has a terrible odor and sprays in a cloud. It leaves a fog in the room. I don't use it unless I have to. Good luck! |
I just basted a quilt today that was starched (homemade)and used the June Taylor spray with no problem at all. Must be something else?
