Well I went and did it

I ordered the tru stitch regulator on layaway. I will have it in 6 month. Now, no excuse not to finish my quilts huh. Anyways I am excited. I really liked it at the shop. I was more impressed than I thought I was going to be. by jan 2015 I hope to be somewhat decent in FMQ on my baby

Awesome - you must let us know how it works - can't wait to see your quilts and your FMQ.

It is a stitch regulator for the high end brother and babylock domestic sewing machines and the HQ sweet 16/babylock tiara

Mine is a Baby Lock Jane set up on a long arm frame. Love the stitch regulator but do not like the machine.

Can you tell me what you paid for it. I have been considering looking into one. I have the Sweet `16 sit down machine. I heard that it is sort of "jerky" when moving in circles. Hoping that is the fault of the operator. What machine did you try it out on? Congrats on achieving your wishes!

It was demonstrated on the babylocks crescendo which is the babylock version of my brother machine. Regular 1499 at my dealer without table, it was on sale for 1299 with table included and overlay. The table is 300 by itself so I felt it was a good deal, and am working for overtime twice this month and all of the holidays through october so felt it was the right time for me to buy without having to add onto my machines monthly payment. During the demonstration it didn't seem jerky, the stitches came out nice and even. I think there are different settings on the stitch regulator and learning curve as with anything new you have to practice and learn the different settings. From what I have asked some of the sweet 16 owners say it is nice but there is a learning curve. They didn't say anything about it being jerky, just that there was a learning curve with it. I won't have it until october so won't be able to give a full review of it until then I have 6 months to pay it off
