How about one like this only in the greens you have, it seems a little different?

Maybe some applique of things he likes?

If the evergreen FQ bundle is what you bought, use white, and use the summer in the park pattern, its simple but nice. all those shades of green with white between the colors will look calm, cool and refresh.

It's in McCall's Quilting. I can search out the date if you're interested.

Wow! That's a perfect quilt for a man that doesn't like a "patterned " quilt, and would look great with those colors.

I really like the one you did for your DD.
What if you did a sort of abstract turtle shell pattern/design? Those colors would be pretty.

Tell him to make it himself. LOL!! for sure it would come out different

What about using the greens cut in strips across the quilt or just plain large blocks with fancy stitching or applique?
