Wescott Titanium blades
Have any of you tried the Wescott Titanium rotary blades?
Last week I was at WalMart and happen to cruise down the sewing section and remembered that I need a new 45mm rotary blade since ALL of my blade seam to be hiding in all stuff. I saw these Wescott Titanium blades for about $3.49 each. Figured I would give them a try if all else fails I can still use them in my Fiskar paper cutter (it uses a rotary blade). Soon as I can get back to WalMart I plan to buy more of them they are GREAT (of course it might be that it is a new blade). However I have always loved the Wesoctt Titanium scissors. |
Never heard of them before.

Not familiar with the brand, but I have used titanium blades in the past and they do seem to last longer than the regular steel ones.

I have bought Wescott Titanium rotary blades. I buy these because the blades are a little cheaper. These blades work ok for me to cut my fabric. I find these blade last about as long as higher priced blades. But that is not saying much....none of these rotary blade seem to stay sharp very long.

I have that issue because I tend to push down too hard when I'm cutting. Even after several years I still have to watch myself. Makes the blades and the mats last longer. Cari |
Many Walmarts don't carry them. It's up to the fabric dept manager to order. Many don't want to order anything but the basic stock items. I adore the fabric/craft manager in our local Walmart. She orders as many different notions as possible. She doesn't devote that much space to paints and make your own jewelry items which she says doesn't sell and the sewing notions make more profit for the dept. making her look good too.
