West Coast Quilt Camps/Retreats
I am reading the Jennifer Chiaverini elm Creek Novels and want to go to a quilt camp. Does anyone recommend retreats or camps on the West Coast, preferably California? I would prefer to drive.

Thanks, thimblebug. I am close to this and it is wonderful but I want someplace that I can stay at.

Check with your local quilt shops and guilds. Most times they're the ones organizing and setting up the camps and retreats. Hopefully you'll be able to talk to quilters who have been to the event before and can give you recommendations and feedback. Have fun!

I can't remember the guild's name but they have a quilting retreat that use to be at a college campus in Irvine. Always booked up really fast so I never went. I know the quilt store The Calico House use to be involved setting up a tiny temp store with quilting basics. You might contact them by email.

Eleanor Burns has some in Julian CA, north of San Diego
