What’s a great paper piecing book?

I’m looking for a pp book that I can just copy the block from the book and don’t have to enlarge it. My printer doesn’t enlarge. I don’t want really small blocks. I know a lot of times the blocks are small because you have to put four together to make the final block. That’s fine with me. I like stars but would like objects or animals in it too. I’d also like a nice variety. Any books out there you know of?

FYI I had to take mine to Office Depot and have them enlarge my picture because my printer would not enlarge enough.

Some of Carol Doak's books come with CD's and you can re-size the patterns. There were a few others listed on Amazon.

This link highlights books with animals.

I was going to recommend Carol Doak. I cut my book apart and then photocopied it to make the templates.

I've bought most of my PP patterns as digital downloads and printed them off.

Most of them with animals have many sections, and most of the sections will fit on one page so I've not had a problem even though my printer only prints on 8x11 paper.

The main problem for me, is that my printer does not want to feed the lighterweight paper well. I bought newsprint in sheets, but they are 8*12 so I have to cut them down so they'd fit. That has been way more of a problem than any resizing issues.

Does it have to be a book? I find digital downloads to be more useful and the bigger oneshave blocks that tape together if necessary.

This is my favourite PP designer

Just wanted to say that the Carol Doak 50 Fabulous Stars book on Amazon comes with a CD but it is NOT the CD with the patterns on it. It is an instructional cd with some tips on it, but does not include the templates to print. You have to buy a separate cd ($20, last I checked) from her/different website. Most of the newer books are supposed to include the cd with the patterns but that particular one did not, to my disappointment. Apparently, people were so upset that the digital patterns weren't included in the purchase price of the book that later books started including them.

You could also check quilter's cache. Lots of free paper pieced patterns there.
