What is it about the label?
I'm currently working on a quilt that's a gift. It's pretty close to being finished. All I need to do is finish the binding and put on the label. I don't know why but for some reason the label is holding me back. Can't figure out why I'm hesitant to label this quilt. I'm happy with the way the quilt turned out and I've got the label designed. Maybe it's because when I attach the label it's no longer mine and I'll have to let it go. Anyone else ever feel this way?

When I put that label on, I get a HAPPY feeling - I'm nearly done with this one and get to start a new one. Yippeeee!

nope. I take a picture and pass it on.

I can understand that. You have put your effort and heart into something, you MADE something. It's hard to let go. But think of the warmth that quilt will give and how great it will be to pass that on to someone. Then start planning your next quilt for YOU, so you can keep it even after the label is on it.

Maybe it is because you are rethinking who it should go to? I have gone through that before myself.

When I get to the binding and label stage I love it because I know it is nearly finished and can move to the next one, woohoo

I have only put labels on a few quilts. I think they ruin the looks and I hate doing them. Majority over 100 quilts, bunch of comforters and biscuit quilts have no labels.
