wow . I guess I am the cheap one here. LOL I use the 80/20 Fairfield . I am ok with it. I got some Warm and Natural and really didn't like it at all.

Boy would like to try wool, but I am allergic wool.
I use by the yard at Joann's but I have noticed batting getting thinner, also some material

My very favorite batting is the washable wool from Quilter's Dream. It is soft, warm, and quilts nicely.

I also do long arm quilting. What kind of thread do you use?
I've found the Signature all cotton 40wt. 3 ply works well, but
would like to find out what someone else is using.

I have only used warm & nat. or W&W. I am always happy with the results.

I have a wholesale account with Quilter's Dream and also use Thermore for hangings and clothing.

This article from All People Quilt should give you some help in choosing the right batting for your I Spy quilt. We didn't mean to ignore you the first time you asked the question. Welcome to the board, Shayna.

I use warm and natural all the time. When Joanne has a 50% off coupon I buy the bolt. Last a long time

Quilters Dream Wool and Hobbs Wool do not shrink any more than the cottons or cotton blends do. I haven't used it long enough to know what multiple washings would do but it is SUPPOSED to retain its suppleness and loft. I think today's processing techniquest have probably eliminated the more disagreeable characteristics of wool.
