I think it has to do with the state of Kentucky, but can't find it. I would like to make it for a guild project we are doing and I hope to find directions for a 12 1/2" block.

Barbara Brackman calls it, "State of Kentucky". I found a clipart graphic of it that gives really good detail: http://dlstewart.com/clipart5.htm It shows all equilateral triangles set in a hexagon shape but could be pieced with diamonds and triangles.
