What brand needles for Juki 2010Q?

I have a brand new Juki 2010Q. When I bought it there was one needle with it. Can I use Schmetz needles in this machine? I sure don't want to harm the machine in any way.
Thanks for your answers.

I've used Schmetz in mine for the past year. They work fine. I know the machine comes with Organ needles but I don't have a really good supplier in my area.

As toverly mention, you should use the needle that your manual or local dealer recommends. I have a Bernina 1530 and have always used Schmetz needles.

You can use Schmetz or Organ needles. Mine came with Organ. I had never used them before, I had always used the Schmetz, but honestly, I like the Organ needles better. Not only are they less expensive, they last longer. It took over a year to use up the 10 that came with it. I would have gone through at least twice that many of the Schmetz.

These are the ones I use:

My Juki TL2010q came with Organ needles and that is what I have continued to use, but I do buy the Organ Titanium because they seem to stay sharp much longer.

I like Organ HA X 1 130/705H 15 X 1 size 75/11PD for piecing. Hope you enjoy your new machine.

I have a Juki TL98 QE and I find the Organ needles work best with it. There are several places on the internet where they can be bought.

I have a new 2010q, too, and I am finding the Organ needle designations very confusing.

I only do quilting with the walking foot, usually with a size 75 needle, on a Viking DII. What came with my Juki was something like HAx5, which looks a lot heftier. I called the shop and they said it's the right one for quilting. But maybe they meant FMQ. Boonedox, is the HA x1 for piecing a smaller needle?

Try the Singer 2045 needles. They have a deeper scarf that allows the hook to pass behind it easier. Less thread breakage when you are doing freemotion quilting.
