I have this left over 58 1/2inch by 17 1/2 inch piece of Red Sox fleece from the tie blanket I made. I want to use it, not waste it but not sure what I can do with it. Any suggestions?

Lol, that's all flannel for my 10 year old's rag quilt. I've cut about 40 of 600 sqares! |
You could make 1 or 2 fringed scarfs, about 9 inches wide x width of fabric.
|
How about 2 pillows to go with the blanket? You could use cotton for one side and this for the other.
|
Pillow case to match the blanket ? Sew the sides together and away you go
|
I'd love to make something to match the blanket, but I posted yesterday the blanket I made, and it was gift to my brother-in-law, and we gave it to him yesterday. I think I will make a pillow though, for my hubby...he loves the Red Sox too, and he'll be getting his blanket it a couple months for his birthday.

as i recall, it was a fleece blankie.
i would use it for a fleece watchcap. you know, the kind that's usually black wool knit and has an all-round cuff. i've seen patterns for it, but you could probably copy the cap from an existing one. they're very easy. a self-lined tube that's sewn with four seams at the top. long enough to turn upthe bottom edfe. maybe a matching scarf with a fringe end. if your'e making dh a matching blankie, save the goodies for him. |
Hi again from Springfield.
I used the same fabric for all the 3 grandson's blankets and backed it with Patriot fleece. The boys loved them and they are holding up extremely well. Their Dad's wanted them too. I used the leftovers for the winter fleece caps that butterflywing described. About 2 squares tall by 3 1/2 wide. I gathered the top and inserted the strips I cut from the small words RED SOX, about 5 or six cuts. Also made scarves. Another thought for little baby boys is a Taggie: 15/16 inch square with all different textures of 2 1/2 inch ribbons folded in half and attached envelope style. Susan |
I know nothing about sports, but what about a pillow to sit on at the
game? Even a pillow for two! What about a pillow to leave in the car? How about a knee cover for the game? |
a table runner to spread the snacks on when it's game time in front of the TV.

Wanna know what's funny? Living in New York, we only get to watch the Red Sox play when Fox or TBS carries the game or when they play the Yankees...blahhh!! But we play the Yankees this weekend sooooo I'll get to watch the games! |
A stadium blanket or a slip cover for his game seat cushion. Or how about a tote bag for all his goodies? How about a car blankie?
