Ok, everyone...how many of you use leaders & enders? And how many of you use scraps, or want to? You won't even know you're making a quilt till it's time to put it together, whenever you want. So, check it out!

I have done basically the same thing, only just simple block pieces :D:D:D

Great idea!! Bonnie Hunter's site www.quiltville.com has lots of similar things! :)

Great!

That's a great idea except my scraps aren't that organized, they are all piled in a basket under my cutting table  . I love the Quiltville site - I've made several of her patterns and they are awesome!

I have been using 2" blocks to make 9-patches from batik scraps for awhile for leaders & enders, that gets boring after awhile, so now I have this one to use too. Just today I got 3 blocks done, just using them as leaders & enders. I'm using a darker cream for the background, aqua & baby blue for the other 2 colors...don't know how much you can tell from the pic, but here it is. Thanks for looking. I will add pics as I get more done.

Thanks for sharing VickiM. Keep us posted. You're right about needing a new L & E project.

I use all my little scraps as leaders and enders. I keep a little box near machine filled with them all pinned and ready to use. Eventually, I will have enough blocks for a quilt. I used to use a mouse and thought that was wonderful way to not have little threads to clip but the leaders and enders is a way better idea. I think I posted some pics on here somewhere of some I had started. I had read somewhere another name for it is creating fabric. :-)
