I just read a post about ripping out eyelashes - which I have sure done. But I still am not sure what causes them. I can be quilting along just fine and all of a sudden I've got them. Usually I can feel the fabric seem to pull. Is it a straight tension issue or moving fabric too fast or abruptly changing direction? What?

moving too fast while sewing too slow, poor tension

agreed....it seems that my fingers want to push that quilt real fast around curves...not a good thing....keep machine sewing fast, but push the fabric slow

Possible bobbin spinning to fast. Couple cures I have heard-magnetic pre-wound bobbins, oil soaked parchment paper or bobbin washers. I haven't had the problem yet, so don't know if any work....

Tension, tension, tension. Everytime I've had eyelashes I tweek the tension and its fixed my problem everytime.

I think its the top tension you need to adjust, and pedal fast, move quilt slow.
