Well Family someone wants me to make a crib size quilt for her grandson, I never made one for anybody so what design do you think and any ideas what to charge i will quilt it on my machine.

Definitely charge for the fabric/thread. As for pattern you could use the same pattern that is used with toe Downy QFK quilts. It's just a 4-patch alternated with a block. You can get the free pattern on the website. Then it will be quick and easy. I have made quite a few of them and they go really fast. Then you just need to charge for your time. I would probably would only add an additional $20 for my time if I used this pattern...it's that easy and it is family. That's just my opinion.

I think they expect to get something for the same price they would pay for a "quilt" at WalMart or JC Penney

I made a Grandmother Fan quilt, trimmed with a wide 4 inch lace, charged $90 and they were happy with that. I gave the price before I started. To me it was high, I didn't really want to do it, but guess they could afford it!
