What Chrismas project are you working on or have on your bucket list?

I love looking at Christmas fabric and patterns. In the past, I have made Christmas place mats and a Christmas quilt for my daughter. I have a bucket list of Christmas quilt patterns I hope to make one day using up my Christmas fabric stash. How about you? I am better at buying the fabric than using it! :)

I want to (finally) make us some Christmas stockings.

I've got as far as getting the Christmas fabric box out of the cupboard...

Does anybody have any recommendations for good patterns? Or do you all just wing it? (On the one hand I feel that drawing a suitable Christmas stocking shape should be easy, on the other the fear of messing up the shape is holding me back...)

I'm making....slowly as it may seam.....(seem).....a Christmas version of I can't see the forest for the trees. I"ve made two others, but looking at where one is being used, it's too small for the day bed.
So far I have two !!! of the 63 trees needed.
It's a great pattern for boxes of Christmas scraps. The blocks are 6 x 12. So unsewn they are 6 1/2 x 12 1/2. There is a trunk that I try to use up the brown, and three sets of foliage. I"ll work on getting a picture up.

I traced the outside of an older commercially made stocking to make a pattern. Thought it was a bit small, so I made it a little taller and wider. Have been using this homemade pattern for years. Even sold a few!

I have made tree skirts for two of our 3 children and their spouses...the youngest son and his wife just bought their first home in June so I am planning to make them a Christmas tree skirt for this year.

I would just like to use the 100+ yards of Christmas fabrics I have or even half that amount. Maybe then I could get something else out from under my bed! Since the holiday gift giving will be light this year some simple ideas will work just fine. Stocking are a good idea that way I can fill them with a small gift for each grand child. Now to just get busy with them.

100+ yards of Christmas fabric? Wow! I'm going to PM you about that.

As for projects, I've made a couple of holiday, pillow cases and may make one more. I've been using patterns by Elizabeth Hartman. I have a reindeer and a Santa/gnome. I also want to make a Santa belly/belt pillow. I have not started any projects for the kids. I guess that I'm feeling rather selfish this year. :)

When I was a kid, my grandmother would make each grandchild pajamas. There were 13 of us, so she was pretty busy. I just loved the nightgowns that she made for me every year and looked forward to opening that gift each Christmas and running to put it on.

I am hoping to motivate myself to get 3 bar stool cushion covers done by Christmas. So far I haven’t had much ambition to do anything but bare essentials.

I bought a magazine Quick And Easy Quilts December- January. Has a mitten and hat quilt and a hot chocolate quilt I would like to make for myself. I also have lots of Christmas fabric. I make something out of it every year. Use to do alot of exchanges at Christmas time. We don't do that anymore.

I’m working on Pat Sloan’s Christmas in July - Snowflakes QAL project. I’m also working on a fall quilt and Halloween quilt as early Christmas gifts. I plan to make a simple red, black and white scrappy quilt for my niece for Christmas. Those are her favorite colors. For myself, I’m making a disappearing 16 patch in Christmas colors, a quilt for my bed. It’s been many years since I have made one for me. I’m doing the “How the west was won QAL quilt through prairie Quilt, thinking of giving to nephew in January ( late Christmas gift). Then I’m doing the BHMQ for myself. Which started today. Yea.
