I bought black batting to use in an Amish quilt that I never made. It's still in the wrapper! :D
I wouldn't hesitate to use white or cream, as the others said.

Actually I sent Hobbs an email suggesting they make a "gray" batting. Seems like it would work well with a lot of colors of tops. We will see their response!
