This may sound very odd but I am not sure how to put the FW back in the case.. I have the original case w/the metal tray on the side..the FW is from 1951..it feels 'tight' when i try to put it away yet the dealer was able to take it out and replace it w/o any issues..appreciate any guidance or direction..Thanks much...

I hope that you figure it out!!

What is a FW?

Fold the bed up, put it in the case, put the tray in so the hole goes over the spool pin. This is easier if you remove the spool of thread. Hope this helps some.

I start with the case front facing me and the machine in the position that I would sew on it then just lift it into the case. Take out the tray if you can. If it is attached machine should slide by it. It will fit snug but I think it is supposed to to keep it from damage when you move it. I hope this is clear. Good luck.patti

All I know is that there is a "clip" on the inside of the lid where the presser foot is attached - HTH

thanks to all will attempt again in AM...thought better to ask than damage or scratch machine..have a good night..and much appreciation for such quick responses..@ Crabby Patty.. Google Singer featherweight 221 and you will see the Fab. little machine that is still in much demand especially for carrying to classes or in my situation I got it for additional portability and I just Loved the 'working' uniqueness of it..

Hi
the side with the needle on your FW should be to your left when your case is faceing you. Hope this helps 8-) |
