What to do with 60 random 2 1/2 x wof strips?

Hello all,
I was fortunate to 'win' a game that offered a prize of approximately 60 strips 2 1/2" x wof strips at our quilt group Christmas luncheon. The strips are entirely random and a mix of bold, beautiful, muted and 'not so beautiful'!
Do any of you have any suggestions as to how I can use these strips in one quilting project?
Thanks
Trisher

I would do some strip piecing, then subcut and put them together. If you can come up with a solid or blender, you can make a scrappy irish chain. There's a pattern for that on modabakeshop.com

I share your dilemma as I won strips at the last retreat I went too... maybe I am in a better position because mine are "supposed" to be fall theme..... I have been searching through all my patterns to come up with something that I don't have to add other fabric too, so will happily keep checking to see if any other suggestions come your way.

If you have wanting to try the jelly roll rug, this might be the perfect time to try.

Maybe a string quilt if you're inclined to cut them into various widths. I'd pick all the cool colors, or warms (but not both) and a constant blender or solid to be the center strip for each block.

If want to use "as is", I like the suggestion to make a scrappy Irish chain.

Get rid of the "not so beautiful" fabrics somehow.

Take a look at all the free scrap quilt patterns on QuiltedTwins.com for some inspiration. She has beautiful ones! https://www.quiltedtwins.com/free-patterns-layout-2

I've made several of these and have many more on my bucket list.

This is a pattern called "Emma's Star." I sized it for a child, but you can make it much larger. The binding is also made with strips sewn together and cut diagonally.
