i've figured out some of the abbreviations people are using but not others. is there a list somewhere i can access?

I haven't seen a list, because they are not extablished by Administration, but by users.
A lot of letter combos are family references: DH = dear husband, SIL = son-in-law or sister-in-law (I don't know how to tell which), etc. FQ = fat quarter, WOF = width of fabric, LOF = Lengthwise of fabric Depending on your computer, you may see smilies as faces or as letter and character combinations. :-) is either :,-,) or a smiling yellow face. Anytime you don't recognize an abreviation, it is fine to ask! |
thanks, that helps

No, in fact, I asked if there was a "sticky" with abbreviations specifically related to quilting. In fact, I think I just asked a couple of days ago.
Each craft/hobby tends to have its own abbreviations and it takes a while to learn them. |
And just when you think you've got it, somebody makes up new ones!

Thanks for the info. I'd been wondering what FMQ was and now I know.
