Does any one have any great patterns for batiks? My sales rep just gave me a ton of outdated samples ranging in size from 8x13 inches to 16x13 inches. It will have to be a scrappy quilt since there is only one piece of each print.

No suggestions right off the bat, but will you be my new best friend?? ;)

Robert Kaufman has a lot of free patterns http://www.robertkaufman.com/quiltin...patterns/free/

If you do a search of "sewing on Sunday's" I posted a picture of a really scrappy batik quilt to that I had just finished.

Hope that helps

I love batiks. You can use them in pretty much any pattern you use regular cottons in.

How about the Disappearing 9 Patch or Turning 20.

I love the look of batiks but I've been too afraid to try to use them in anything. Lucky you to have so many to play with!

here are two that I did with batiks...

the sunrise-sunset is various sizes of stars and pain to put together..
the psycho-babble is a pattern I made up just playing around...

batiks are great for that sort of thing... they don't have to match anything
