Just put it in the dryer for a few minutes and it should be alright. No need to mist it.

normally the batting package tells you how to relax the batting. Either by washing or by hanging so it can FALL...and the hanging takes 3-4 days!
|
I put in the dryer on low setting for 10 minutes. It will "relax" away!

Some good hints am taking note for future reference.Hoping it works for you.

Great ideas as always, ladies! I will be unrolling the exact same type of batting soon, so this will be useful!

good question, i am reading the answers as well....thanks for asking!!!

I spread mine over my bed and spray it with that wrinkle reducer product, then I smooth it out the best I can without stretching the batting. I turn on the ceiling fan and let it stay there until it is dry. Whatever wrinkles stay in the batting have not caused any problems. When I sandwich the layers, I smooth as much as I can and baste well.

put it in the dryer on low heat by itself for 10 minutes.

It's Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 black cotton batting. (actually 80% cotton, 20% poly) It says on the package that I can preshrink it, but I don't want to have to deal with a huge, wet mass and I quite like the old fashioned crinkly look. Do I iron it? Steam it? Try and get it in the dryer (European ones aren't huge) for a few mins? What? All suggestions gratefully recieved. |
