What to do with my Paducah purchase
1 Attachment(s)
I purchased this fat quarter bundle from "Sweet Treats" at the Paducah show and also found some coordinating fabric to make a lap quilt. I am having trouble deciding on a pattern, waiting for the fabric to speak to me. I have thought about Hanky Panky or Cobblestones. I also have tone on tone fabric that would go well with this bundle. Any suggestions?

It really depends on what your likes are Modern? Traditional? And if you are making it for yourself or a gift?? I have a fat quarter set similar and I am still trying to decide what to make from it. Also, do you want a difficult or simple pattern. Yellow Brick Road is an easy pattern and I also like making MSQS Falling Charm. Maybe go look thru all her videos. Good luck.

I love those! I'd probably go with something with some larger pieces since you don't want to cut up the butterflies, birdies or hearts too small. I'd probably go a bit more modern than traditional on these fabrics. I just saw one on pinterest and will try to link:

Have done Yellow Brick Road. Would like something more traditional.

I like your suggestions the first one especially. Thank you.

What about Disappearing Nine Patch.

Actually Disappearing Nine Patch is a great suggestion. Our guild is teaching this block as a free class in our community to those who would like to learn how to quilt.

Have you seen Perfect Ten? It requires 10 FQ's and an accent - and has some larger areas so the large prints can show off.
http://www.fatquartershop.com/perfec...-quilt-pattern I just made it using some panels I had |
I do D9P, but use 9 fabrics pock, and put them together randomly. I prefer that look and you can us 9+ fabrics for it.
