What to do with Santa

I have a weakness for novelty fabrics and bought 1 1/2 yards of this at a clearance sale last Spring for $2.00/yard. I could see a log cabin lap quilt or wall hanging with Santa as the centers. Now that I have time to work on it I'm wondering if he isn't too big - around 8" for the larger Santas. Any ideas?

Maybe looking through some attic windows?
or a shadow quilt? |
fussy cut for snowball blocks and alternate with a 4-patch or 9-patch

Make a log cabin with a big Santa in the middle of it.

Cute fabric....I can see why you chose it. You could use a large piece (uncut) like you would a panel then border it out to the size you want. The borders could be strips or pieced blocks surrounding the center panel.

I was thinking Snowball blocks too. You could also use it for Warm Wishes blocks. It would look adorable in a tree skirt done in the center of Log Cabin Star. It is mighty cute fabric and I would have added it to my stash too.

I third that - Snowball blocks or second - Warm Wishes. Cute Fabric and what a Lovely Price!

If you don't want to waste any of the santa you can fussy cut them at weard angles and add material to create a block
I think that is wonderful material. |
It's really cute material. HOw about the big block pattern?

Thanks for the replies. I have just finished a few snowball quilts, so I'm leaning toward warm wishes, which I hadn't thought about but think will look good, or some kind of wonky log cabin.
