Maybe just quilt them about every 6 inches lengthwise and Cross wise..... The tied ones I made my boys are loosing the ties.. so by sewing them it would sturdy them up.. but I would donate them too... Great Job...

Long armer friend of mine quilted a quilt that was already hand quilted in the ditch...it looks marvelous with the floral quilting on the plain blocks...don't be afraid of quilting over it even with the binding on the quilt .
I took before and after photos on the frame and it really enhanced the old quilt! |
I would keep them.

AnYone else in the family that would appreciate a vintage quilts? If not donate.
|
I do not believe that these colors ever go out of style. They are warm and comforting and well done.
|
Because I love vintage quilts, I think this quilt is beautiful. If you want to donate it to a charity, I am sure they would love this quilt.
|
Your quilt is beautiful and I could not cut it up. Please donate it as is. You will make someone very happy to have this quilt.

not dated, beautiful

I love this quilt. the fabrics are timeless, not outdated. The quilt looks warm and inviting to me.
Is there no one in your family who would want one of the quilts? If not, and you don't want to keep them, then donate. |
I like your idea of giving it to a battered women's shelter. These women sometimes leave with just the clothes on their backs, and some have been living in their cars. Those colors are still good today as when you made them and they are very nice quilts.
