I have made about twenty of these blocks and I want to make some kind of baby quilt where it looks like they are on a cream or white background but i have no clue how to do that. Does anyone have some sort of pattern or tutorial i could follow to do this? |

Add your cream/white triangle to the top left & lower right pieces. Then you can sew the blocks into rows. I did that on some hexagons I had made before I saw a tutorial showing them only sewn in halves and pieced together. Here's the one I did. I used pink to make star points instead of a white background, though.
Here is a rough draft of what a simple version of your blocks could be: |
Thank you, Beverly. Your method displayed is right-on. I've taught many to do this and they will now tackle hexagons. They just have to remember 2+1 (two triangles sewn together, then one more to that) then the halves.
