I love making table toppers out of charm packs. It's a fun way to use a fabric line that you might not want a whole quilt out of. Schnibbles and This & That have lots of great charm patterns. Here is one I made recently from "Charmed and Dangerous" by Anka's Treasures.
Really cute table topper...love the simple design! Yes, these little gems are perfect for using those charms up. I had some extra charms squares left over from a queen/king quilt and used them to make the Crisscross Coasters...they were the perfect size. |
Why not make a charm quilt. No two pieces the same.

I like simplicity, and charm packs give me that. I just finished putting together a quilt top using two charm packs, a panel and a couple yards of a neutral fabric. It went together in a day, and I think it turned out cute.
I have also used them for baby quilts, table toppers and other small items. Oh, and purses and tote bags. They make wonderful purses and totes. :-) |

Hi, again! So sorry, I should have posted the link for the Criss Cross Coasters. Here it is:

You can incorporate some fat quarters very easily. FQs yield 12 five inch squares. Or try using some scraps from your stash. I cut my scraps into 5" squares just so I can add a little originality (and extra fabric) to my charm packs.

I have found I need to buy more than one of the same charm pack to do much of anything with them.
However, I made a really cute baby quilt from one charm pack. I tried the split 9 patch tutiorial from Missouri Star. Turned out really cute and easy. |
Collect them silly:cool:

I LOVE that Moda Bake Shop Neighborhood quilt. Just adorable! I'm thinking Christmas fabrics... thanks for posting liont! It would be great for gifts as well.

I just line them up on my shelf because they look so pretty!!!

I bought several tone-on-tone neutral charm packs to mix and match with the print charm packs for D9P quilts.
