I have several quilt tops that are close to being finished but can't get myself going to get them done. They're my own designs and they're at the point where I need to figure out what to do next. So what did I do? I start a couple of new ones. Sometimes I just feel like mindless piecing and right now I don't have anything cut out to do that. So I decided to cut out a couple of easy piecing projects. Call me crazy but I'm adding two more UFOs to my list. Hopefully it will get me going.

Sounds like perfect therapy.

I usually clean my sewing room.

hang a project on a design area you pass all the time--you may get an idear and want to finish it---have a couple of portable projects to relax and sew

Can u hang the UFO so u can see them? Maybe I'll either get inspired or finish them so u don't have to see them!! I've never started new stuff without finishing old or it wouldn't get done!! In fact a lot of times I'm making the same pattern on 2-3 quilts at one time!!

Sometimes looking thru my stash and looking thru my patterns gives me the motivation I need, otherwise I say no harm in starting a new project, even a small one that you can complete and then feel accomplished. Good luck.

If you're not sure where to go with the UFO's post one or two up here. It's really motivating when someone sees your vision too or when you get multiple ideas for finishing them. One of those ideas or support for your original idea will usually get somebody jump started.

I really wish I knew because that is the point I am at now.

When I loose my "mojo" I just walk away. I haven't sewed for weeks. I have had many irons in the fire and have allowed myself the mental break. Usually happens every few months..then I go on sewing Marathons. =)
