I love log cabins and am about to cut out a log cabin pineapple pattern that I found on line from Sharlene Jorgenson, she has a great tutorial on this on the QNN network which I am a member of.:)

Check out the Night and Day block. Elenor burns has a book that come with a template and is easy to do. The night and day blocks work best with solids or fabrics that read as solids, as in marbles or blenders. There is also a paper piecing free pattern out there. Although, Elenor's book give you patterns do use the scraps as the night and day blocks consume yardage.

There is an awesome fabric line from Moda called Ruby that uses reds, aquas, pinks, grays, Maybe you could find an a good fabric for a border or a pattern from Modas website.

Google "Collection for a Cause - Heritage" and see if you like that pattern. I think it has possibilities - using the red, aqua and whites for the pinwheels.

It would make a great Log Cabin.I have used these colors together.

I also have a huge stack of red and aqua that will be a quilt (hopefully this year). My idea was to use a chevron technique I saw that does not involve triangles. Matching a solid with a print and mixing the red and aqua thru out. Can't wait to see yours!

I made a extra long twin acqua, red and white quilt for my GGD for her high school graduation. I added a pop of black & yellow. It was awesome & she really loves it. She took it to college. Good luck & keep us posted on your progress.

It's a favorite color combination for mid-20th century, depending on what the prints might be. You could turn to Barbara Burns Egg Money quilts for inspiration. I think it would adapt well to almost any style, though. It's a nice, fresh combination.
