I want to get better at my meandering for small items. I have friends that take care of my large quilts but I am never happy with mt table runners.

My quilt for me some day will be wedding ring. Problem area machine work in general. I hope to do a sampler quilt with simple blocks like rail fence and log cabin to master my 1/4"seam allowance.

Mitered binding on the corners or anything that will get me around the corner with a nice touch.
Fun and Done.
The Cathredral Window is my present and with all the posts on Bergello that seems to be my next desire.

I have a someday list of quilts- dahlia, log cabin, lone star....

Like my stash that keeps growing my list of things I want to learn keeps growing.

(and my ultimate goal- but attainable if I just stop buying stash for a year- a used long arm or a mid arm.) I want to be like green fairy when I grow up. :)

To those who would like to improve your binding/mitered corners, check out Sharon Schamber's videos.

And for those that want to do scalloped borders, check out Eddie's tutorial:

I want to learn wholecloth, mariner's compass...and I too would love to quilt like Green fairy. Who is featured in a magazine now. COngrats.
One thing I learned in a class last month while doing a bargello. When you start to sew the rows together, she had us use a small glue stick (like a chapstick) lay out one side and gently touch each seam with it, then add the second row and line them up and press on the seams with glue. The machine works in all the fabric and my seams matched. That's a lot of seams to match perfectly on a bargello. Now I have the gluestick in my Sewing tools.LOL. The glue does not hurt the needle and dissipates quickly.

My list of what I want to learn and patterns/designs I want to try is much to long to print! LOL

I've always had a problem with wanting to try "everything" and, of course, that is impossible, but it keeps me interested and learning. I feel that way about my work, too (teaching).

How awful it would be if we ran out of things to learn!
