What do you think of "Connecting Thread's" thread?
 

I love their fabric but am interested in what you think of their thread if you have used any. I so which blend do you use most often?

It really depends on your machine. My machine didn't like it. My machine loves Aurifil and Wonderfil threads.

If you do a search, you will find many "threads" on this topic (pardon the pun). The general consensus seems to be that some like it for the price, and some don't because it's quite linty.

I like it. I don't find it lintier than any other brand of cotton out there and I use gutterman and mettler as well. I have a brother and a babylock and they don't mind what threads I throw at them. Some machines are fussy about thread which I am still not sure why. If I pay hundreds of dollars for a machine it better use what thread I want it to use.

I like it also. I use the 100% cotton in my Tin Lizzie. Interestingly, I just finished a quilt with my first wool batt and the amount of lint was way down. I'm wondering how much of the lint that accumulates is from the batt vs. the thread...

I've used it alot . I liked it , but then got a couple of bad spools, that had knots towards the middle of the spool.

I did buy one spool of the cotton thread. It looks thicker to me too. I will give it a try in a bobbin since my every day Brother machine I has the canister where you put a spool of thread in it. Their spools are way too tall to fit inside that. Maybe it will work well in my new Nouvella 1500s machine. I'll have to check that out too.:o

I haven't used it in years, but when I did, I found that the Connecting Threads cotton thread was too linty. The thread even looks fuzzy on the spool. Used Mettler silk-finish cotton thread for many years, but last year finally tried a spool of Aurifil 50wt. What a difference! I now use it for both piecing and quilting. It is much smoother and less linty than any other cotton thread I have tried, plus it is finer so a lot more fits on the bobbin.

I never tried CT's polyester thread; that might be good.

I don't have a problem with it. I normally use Aurifil because when piecing the 2 threads makes a difference in the accuracy of the seams and total block. I tried Connecting Threads for the price then read the reviews on here and contacted the co. They said they stand behind their products and that if anyone ever has a problem to let them know and they'll take care of it. I didn't notice it being any more linty than others that I use. I agree with another post; I paid thousands for my machine and it should (and does) use any thread that I put to it.

It creates a lot of lint, but other than that it's good thread. I use it a lot for piecing. But it's too linty to put on my long arm. While the quilt is loaded, it's tough to get in there to clean the bobbin area out.
