What Do You Think Will Work?

I bought 3 large table clothes with an embrodery pattern stamped on them thinking I could wash them to remove the stamped design and then have good cotton for quilting. These clothes have some polyester in them. I washed them on a long cycle with soap and ammonia but the printing is still there. Does anyone have any other solution I could try?
I know when I am having a problem, this is the best reliable place to come.

I've never tried what you're trying . . . but you might have some luck, with spot remover. I've heard hairspray will remove ink stains, so you might also try that.

make a paste of Oxy clean and rub it on, then soak in Oxy clean and water. good luck.

I take it you don't want to embroidery the patterns?

Chlorine bleach and bright sunlight!

Chlorine bleach and poly/cottons don't always agree with each other. Ask me how I know! LOL

What colour are they stamped in? I think I would find a fabric permanent marker the same colour as the marks and play connect the dots. There are some fabric lines for sale that have just outlines of flowers and designs. It's worth a shot if you can't get them out.

Thanks for your suggestions and the link to the other post. The one item did run a bit so I am going to try the oxy clean on it and the others, I am just going to cut out the useable part and toss the rest. You certainly saved me a lot of time and work so thanks again.
