I found a pattern that said it was "quick pieced". Is that paper piecing or something else?

Chain piecing?
|
It probably means that whatever is being made is going to be made fast. Can you tell us more about where you saw it?
|
Depending on the pattern, there could be some short cuts presented that make it "Quick pieced".
|
It could simply mean that you use large pieces.

The pattern is by Pam Bono called "These Boots".

The boots are maybe paper-pieced. The star blocks could be strip pieced. ??????? |
MTS, Sounds like a winner to me! Now what does she REALLY mean by "Intermediate"...?
|
Blew up the picture to look at it again.
I think that quilt is intermediate level. Even really confident beginner. Look at what's involved: The little white stars are regular sawtooth blocks - so that's just a bunch of flying geese (which, I see, you're already checking out). The big stars are most probably strip pieced - a la Lone Star. I just can't figure out, without seeing the directions, how she's doing the boots. But pieced or pp, the pieces are big enough and shouldn't be a problem if the directions are followed correctly. While generally a bit too rustic for my style, it's kinda growing on me. ;-) And it looks fabulous in that log cabin setting. |
it is where you have stips and then put them together and mark for half squares then sew 1/4 from marks on both sides it is still in the long strip . Now cut on the marked lines
