When I was younger, (much younger, LOL!) my Mom sewed on her Mom's Singer treadle. She gave it to one of her first cousins several years ago. Since she is no longer with us, it was important for me to find things to remind me of her. I found a Singer treadle in a cabinet just like hers. It doesn't work but just having it makes me feel close to her. That led to my search for a Singer treadle that does work. I found a pretty one that works and love it.

I learned to sew on one, and my Grandma had one (my aunt has it now and I've asked her for it, but so far, no go) that we played with as kids. It is just a nostalgic trip down memory lane for me when I look at it or use it. And it sews really well too.

I don't know how they do it but way-to-go treadlers. I can also sew when the power goes out and get great exercise!

Yes, but can you see with no lights?

What, you don't own a battery operated head lamp flashlight? Where have you been? I snitch my son's that he uses to go dew worm hunting at night.

I just think they are the prettiest things. Of course I am a vintage and antique nut anyhow!
