Dappled sunlight on the forest floor, sunshine on the pond (my avatar quilt), morning fog in the woodlands, full moonlight on fresh snow...the world that surrounds me.
Music and Poetry, which is really just another form of music in my opinion. Both bring sharp images to mind and feelings to heart. Quilt designs spring from either. |

everything on the list- right along with 'getting up in the morning'
i see quilts in everything- sitting out on the deck at 5am-watching the sky lighten- seeing the sun peek over the tree tops- in the clouds- going down the road-seeing a field with cranes dancing stopping by the river- entering a building- i dream quilts- they consume my thoughts i would have to live a bazillion years to make all the quilts i envision ;) |
Dreams (day and night)..lol..all of the above mentioned ones..clothing..colors..you name it..I think about it in terms of quilting !! :D

i don't have that much of an imagination. therefore, i rely on seeing ideas from others. however, once i see something i like, i usually make it my own in some way. i've never liked anything that is EXACTLY like someone else's.
