braid would be pretty or square in a square, Warm Wishes,
perhaps a chevron?
Double Irish chain...quick and easy and very effective!
I think a good Chevron would show the fabrics well.
Yes, I vote for a chevron.
I am not sure which pattern would be suitable, but I think the fabrics are lovely

1000 pyramid -- I started one with similar fabrics. Just need one color to make it pop.

Card trick on a bit of color background would show off the fabric, I think.
I would throw in a red and make any of these quilts:

thanks !!!

I'm making a chevron with very similar fabrics.
I first thought chevron too, but if your backing is the flannel chevron I would consider pinwheels or irish chain since you have that beautiful white for a background fabric. There are so many colors that marry with gray if you needed to add another color it would be pretty either way. I know yellows with gray were popular last year... keep us posted on your project, I love your fabrics.

Rail fence?

My first thought was rail fence.

Those are great fabrics. I was just on another site where the quilt pattern was just flying geese, going in 2 different directions, one row up, one row down. It's an idea.
How about the Birch Tree Pattern with the red cardinals from leisure arts. Someone on pinterest has posted it. I made it a couple years ago and it really turned out well. Of course I never took a picture of it.

See Reply #11 by ManiacQuilter2. The site she selected has a lot of awesome ideas! Bet you will find the one you like the best. Can't wait to see your choice. The fabrics you have are gorgeous.
Great quilts, ManiacQuilter2 - Those really make me want to make a black/white/red quilt!
What beautiful fabric! I like the chevron idea. The fabrics call out to be in a modern pattern in my opinion.
You may consider a version of Buzz Saw. I've made several quilts with a pattern that was in McCall's Quick Quilts around 2008. It can be made with 2.5" strips and goes together really quickly. And the contrasts in your fabrics would make it fun.

Very pretty fabrics!! Whatever pattern you pick, you will have fun working with them :)
Very nice fabrics.....the only pattern i can really come up with would be 3d bow ties or just squares.
Or maybe square in a square.......have fun........ |
Beautiful fabrics--I like Warm Wishes. It looks so much more complicated than it is.
Wow, quilttiger, those are fabulous quilts. Seeing these have really got the wheels in my head spinning! The red would be great with the gray assortment. So would turquoise (my favorite), bright green, or yellow. Have fun deciding.
Would French braid work? Card trick would be pretty too.
I really have no idea what you should do. I'm just writing to say that I love your fabric choices. They are very stylish and modern!
oooohhhhh.... gorgeous fabrics! I have really fallen in love with gray recently.
I like the chevron idea; however, the 3 grays are of similar color value so the contrast will not be as powerful. You could consider including a "pop" of color for a couple of rows..... red or yellow or turquoise. Have fun! |
