I was just wondering why my sewing machine review got deleted?
I had a topic that I posted to the "Main" portion of the site (where I believed it belonged after reading the forum rules) along with technical specs for the sewing/quilting/embroidery machine I reviewed (and absolutely love) but it was deleted by someone. I am not a Spammer, I was just sharing useful information with fellow quilters such as myself, and I don't work for nor are affiliated with the manufacturer of the product. Could someone kindly tell me why my post was nuked? I'd sincerely appreciate it! Take care! Explosive blessings, abundance and inspiration to you all! - The Creative Seamstress |
Edit: It is nice to know, now we can all be more aware. Sometimes it is a find line.

Best to pm SharonB or PatriceJ and they can help you out. Techincal reasons maybe. Welcome to the board. We also have copyright and other rules. We usually find out about them when we step over the line. Not that this is the case. Hope you find it soon.

Probably best to contact a moderator and ask. Otherwise, it's just speculation on our part.

Deb, love your welcome sign!
|
your post was deleted because it appeared to be a bit more commercial than your own personal opinion

Ahhh!! Thanks, Kathy, for the explanation. Hope it helps clear things up for all of us. Sometimes we get going and start sounding like a sales brochure!! LOL :-)

Oops sorry Kathy, I forget you are also a moderator. WIll get used to adding your name. My apologies.

Which machine did you review?
|
Is that the one that was on HSN? I have been asking about it.

Response to Kathy so as to clarify a few things:(and please understand that this is not meant to be hostile/sarcastic in any way, shape or form... it's solely informational so you have a full understanding of who I am and what I stand for)... (thanks in advance for reading)...
I just want to make sure that you understand my legitimate intentions because I understand that as a Moderator - you are doing your duties to protect the integrity of both this website & forum. With that in mind, I want to provide some clarification to you as well as the rest of the members of this community. Please allow my statements to certify that I'm definetly not a commercial interest Spamming/Advertising on your boards and/or out for any sort of commercial gain - that is and was a review of my own work product and writing style. It is and has been posted up on my own sewing blog/website I maintain which has been dedicated to the machine I've fallen in love with and is also dedicated to my love of sewing and quilting. If you go to my blog and read the "About Me" section you will notice my style of writing is the exact same there, it's simply just my own style and how I write which also tends to be very comprehensive and thorough. Believe me - microblogging on Twitter is hard because I always have so much to say! I'm just an honest person trying to share apart of myself on the Internet for just the pleasure of it, to make new friends and share the love for the crafting hobbies I indulge in. In summary of my purpose: I have chosen to share my review on both my Blog and within the sewing circles I belong to because I believe in sharing truthful and honest information about my personal experiences with a product when it actually performs as advertised, and when the same is found by me to be an exceptional value given today's economy in consideration of the overwhelming costs associated with acquiring the higher end machines which for most, including myself are presently unattainable. I am in no way affiliated with Singer (past or present) and derive no perks and/or income from my positive reviews and endorsement. As a matter of fact, I don't attempt to sell my website/blog visitors anything (through a 3rd party, Ebay, Etsy etc) or even allow Google AdSense Advertising; it is a simple exercise in expression and my desire to create both a resource and community for those who either already own or are interested in purchasing the machine which is the Singer Futura Quartet (4-in-1). As a consumer I can't stand to have a desire to purchase a product for which there are no consumer type reports available for me to research, so I endeavored to be the resource I didn't have prior to the full blown launch of this product. I decided to take a chance, and others can benefit from my experiences gained, both good and bad. I'd like to repost the review on this board for the benefit of everyone, but will only do so if you would be so kind as a moderator to acknowledge that you've read my statements as made above - so that I know you are fully understanding of my position: that I am a member whom is here simply to share my love and passion for sewing and not here to capitalize and/or push any commerical purposes for any monetary gains. I appreicate both your time and dedication to these forums, and also thank you for listening to me and hearing out my point of view on this matter, take care!
