I received an E-mail about some changes with the board. This is what they said: We are changing E-mail providers for the Q.P. newsletter soon. To ensure uninterrupted delivery of the Newsletter, please add [email protected]
Are they asking me to add this to my E-mail addresses? Did you all get this E-mail? before I do anything I need to know Please help. I have been so busy with more important issues in my life, I feel like I cannot keep up any more. Thankyou in advance. |
I got the same email. I think it does mean to add it to your email contact list.
|
You add it to your email list so it doesn't go to spam, or your isp provider blocks it.

Are they asking me to add this to my E-mail addresses? ------------------------- I get the newsletter often, but most of the time, more than once each day, I log on to it from the Internet, "Quilting Board" which immediately brings me to this site and masses of all that is on it. Hundreds and hundreds of pages of each, pictures, recipes, chat room, etc. I don't worry about it when the newsletter doesn't arrive. |
Yes , everyone is getting it . The board is changing hands and addresses.
|
yep...i got it also
|
Thanks everyone for your quick answers. I always get a little afraid of adding anything new to my E-mail addresses.
(((((hugs)))))) |
There's a feature in Outlook where you can designate people as being trusted senders. The default is to trust anyone already in your Outlook contacts. If you don't want to add the QuiltBoard to your contacts you can do the following:
In Outlook: Add people I e-mail to the Safe Senders List E-mail addresses that are listed in your Contacts are considered safe by the Junk E-mail Filter if the Also trust e-mail from my Contacts check box is selected (the default setting). However, you might also sometimes send e-mail to recipients who are not listed in your Contacts. Such recipient addresses are not considered safe by default. If you want these addresses to be considered safe, do the following: 1.On the Tools menu, click Options. 2.On the Preferences tab, under E-mail, click Junk E-mail. 3.Click the Safe Senders tab. 4.Select the Automatically add people I e-mail to the Safe Senders List check box. |

I did too. I just added it to my contact list so it doesn't go to spam/junk box. ;-)

I have been so busy with more important issues in my life, I feel like I cannot keep up any more. Thankyou in advance. Stitchit, if I can do it you surely can do it. This is what I did. I went up at the top of the page and clicked on CONTACTS. Then I clicked on ADD. A new page came up and I typed in the place of first, middle, and last name like this: Quilted Paradise Newsletter. And then I typed in the box for the email address. Then I clicked on SAVE. Voila! Done. |
Well I am a little behind on my emails so I hadn't opened the message about the new address but mine came through okay anyway.
However, what I have been wondering about is the Newsletter that used to arrive once a week with all of the helpful tips and information. I haven't received that for a long time. Was there something that I missed about that? |
Some email providers will dump unknown senders into a spam folder. They want you to add the address to your address book to designate it as a known sender. If you start missing your digest, check your spam folder. It might be there.
|
I added the new address as directed in their e-mail and am recieving the news letters.
|
Haven
t gotten it yet. |
I got the messages but think the "spam file" got some things too. I just have to complain. I'm a quilter not a computer understanding person. Why do things have to change everytime I turn around?
|
All went well yesterday in adding this change in my E-mail. I ALWAYS KNEW HOW TO ADD IT.... I just was a little skeptical because I was receiving PM's from people on here that aren't regulars asking me about my avetar pic. I wrote to Kathy and she advised me to just ignore them especially if they have never posted. She also told me that they might be trying to get my E-mail address. So I guess I'm a little worry wart about stuff like this.
|
I did not get the e-mail. What's going on
|
got the e-mail, quilt board came thru with the new address yesterday to my reg e-mail soooo I thought ok I'm fine... today it came thru spam will continue to work on it lol

Maybe it is in your junk mail. Add the new email address to contacts and you should get it everyday like before

I finally found my everyday notice in spam. so I saved that email address, didnot get the email tho.
|
I got that e-mail also. I have to put it in my e-mail list or it will go to my spam folder.
|
I didn't get an email like that and I've never seen a newsletter come to my email address.
|
I haven't done a thing about it & I'm getting most things like normal. I did visit a couple of threads that I didn't get notices on & now they're coming in. I'm not the PhD in computer science in the family, so I rely on DH for fixing computer related thingys. Didn't know how to do what they were telling us to do. The worst that can happen is that it downloads in your junk mail box. They you just have to drag it to your inbox. Our 'puter will ask if it isn't junk. I answer no, not junk. Figured that I'd eventually get everything & I did.
|
Yes I got the same e-mail and added this to my
list of contacts. Never had any problem getting this newsletter each day. Betty Lee |
