I was in my Walmart in Martinsville, IN today where they are busy doing a remodel. They had said that after the cut fabrics were gone, they would get some pre-folds in. Well, the store is a MESS, and I am having a hard time finding ANYTHING!!! BUT I did find where they had put in some new fabric options. They have single fat quarters for $1.00, groups of 7 for $10.00, and 2 yard amounts for $7.00, I think. They even had some flannel in I think 2 yard lengths. They had a few Jelly Rolls and some rolls of 10" squares. I thought I'd let others know what we have in our store, and that maybe there is hope after all. Not as good as getting just the amount one wants cut, but better than nothing!!! It made me happy!!! :) :) :)

My local Wal-Mart is doing a remodel right now too. I also found precut fabrics. They had cotton, broadcloth, flannel, felt, fleece & tulle. There were solids, strips & patterns. Most were 1-2 yard cuts. They also had fat quarters. I didn't see any jelly rolls, but they had stuff scattered all over, so they may have them. I also found "kits". Everything from aprons to doll clothes. Could be the amount of complaints lead to them carrying the precuts. Better than nothing, especially for those of us who have no other fabric stores close by.

That's it!!! I have 2 Joann's, 1 Handcock Fabrics, and 2 Hobby Lobby stores and 3 quilt shops within about a half hour to an hour's drive in 3 different directions from me. But the Walmart is in town, which is a lot handier if I just want a little bit of fabric, or are in a hurry, not to mention the price of gas.

Be careful with their jelly rolls. I bought two of them and at the centers, they were both 2 inches, and the ends were 2 1/2 inches. Bery pretty, just not cut correctly.

I do miss fabric at WalMart, the fat quarters are nice, but sometimes you need more to do something. In my area, there is a quilting store and a fabricland.

You lucky girl for having so many options so close by.

I'm so glad you have something. Our remodeled a couple years ago and cut the fabric department, but kept a few precuts. Now those are gone too.   I hope we get something back.
