Been pp this for my son now to add sashing and borders any suggestions??

Oh how pretty! I would pull out either the red or yellow and make a narrow border around the entire quilt. Then a wider border of your background fabric.

That has real excitement to it. I like all the quilts you have around the room, too. You've been busy!

Oh, and yes, I'd use the yellow for sashing, and red for borders. Just an idea.

Awesome quilt

Beautiful quilt, lucky son!

That is an awsome quilt!!! Great job.

I vote for narrow black sashing, small black 1st border and slightly larger red second border. Bind in the gray background? I'd put different fabric under the blocks and audition them to see what looks best. Lots of times I will take a picture of the various choices....for some reason it looks different in a picture. It's a gorgeous quilt! I'm not crazy about PP, but I love the results.

Wonderful PP! It is and will be even more beautiful!

I would use black (if that's your dark color). Since this is for a guy I would not use yellow or use it very sparingly. A little yellow goes a long way and can overpower a quilt.

That is a beautiful quilt, can't wait to see it finished. I think the dark color in the center would be good for the sashing, a 1st narrow border and the binding. Maybe a batik with all the colors for the border?

PS: Or how about your background fabric with some of the PP elements incorporated (maybe 1/2 of the pattern?) Can you see what I am thinking?

I would sash with the red, then a small border of the cream to frame it, then a wider border in the background color of gray/black.

me i would skip sashing and go to the borders, do a yellow or red 1-3" then a wider 5" or so of the background fabric. then bind in red or yellow which ever you don't use in the border.

I would use your darkest color for sashing (black? navy blue?) and a narrow double border of red and the same dark color. It has enough yellow. Very attractive blocks.

That's my suggestion, too. I think I'd go with the red. Then your background fabric. This is a real stunner!
