This looked crazy but it worked! It used straight pins to tack the quilt onto the HALL WALL!!! LOL, I usually just use the guest bed but this was too big. My DIL picked out the pattern & focus fabric...I am not crazy about it but I sure hope she loves it.

unusual, but I really like it!! Nice work!

I think it is a great quilt.

I use a vinyl tablecloth. The stuff that is on the back of them is perfect for quilt squares. They stick right to them.

So far, since I'm just doing small sizes, I've not had to have a design wall, but the tablecloth is probably the way I would go. I also have used my cardbord cutting pad in the past with upholstery tacks. That worked also. Another idea for the cutting pad that worked great for me, when sandwiching a crip quilt, was to lay the pad on the bed and use those alligator clips to hold the edges of the batting, backing and top tight while I pinned.

Great quilt!

Thanks for the kind words! I have used my cardboard cutting thing covered with a flannel sheet as a design wall...it works well for small areas. I needed to see the entire quilt to match circles though. Some day after we move I will have a huge design wall that I can stand back & look at. Until then we just make due, right?
