That Bali Star is exquisite! Will add to my to do list which gets longer all the time. Can't wrap my mind around "just one more quilt"!

When I first started quilting I designed a story quilt for my bedroom of cabin in the mountains. I still have not even bought the fabric for this quilt, but it is my goal to make it. So if I could only make one more quilt it would be my Cabin #5 quilt.

If we get to finish works in progress first, then I would make the quilo for DD's fiance. Maybe that sounds silly but I know him and he would appreciate it. If not, then must finish SD's quilt that I call "Trip to China." He got to spend 10 weeks there in 2009, and the fabric is oriental. Top is pieced, needs the borders and then quilt, bind, label.

I always make a quilt like it would be my last one, I try to put the best of me into my work. Since I give them to people I love I tell them that every piece and every stitch I put in is a special "I Love You".

Patti, Me too! I started one earlier this year - it's one of those that I work on, put aside, get out & work on a little, put aside...you know the drill??! This is my first, & it's all done by machine, but I'm re-reading all the Jennifer Chiaverini books & now I wish I had started it out by hand. So now the question, do I finish the machine appliqued one first, or keep it aside & start one by hand??

Is this anything like the Winchester House in San Fran? That lady kept building in the belief she would not die as long as she built. In that case, I have lots of projects that should keep me living a long time. Star quilts, Star Log Cabin quilt (as soon as I get the pattern) and my list goes on. Don't forget the Bow Tucks I want to do, then there are the little dragons I want to make and what about the horse doll. Drover's coat for my son. The Indian quilt blocks I'm designing.

Have you seen the material to go with Jennifer Chiaverini's latest book? It is set in Hawaii, a gal was working on it at our workshop last weekend. It was so nice.
