What kind of pen?
My laptop died on me, so my embroidery software went away with it. Until I get a new laptop I am going to have to make a quilt label by hand.
Yes, I know it would look better stitched out, but I need to get this gift done by Christmas and I can’t swing a new laptop until after the holidays. What pens/markers do you use on your quilt labels? Something that won’t wash out within a time or three would be great. Thanks! |
i use a Micron pen sorry to hear of your computer woes

You could also use printer fabric and print a label.

I don't know of anyone near me to make the file and email it to me. I typically use Hus or Pes, but have used others. The colors are just funky when I open it.
Hm...printer fabric.....that might work....if not I'll try the micron pen. Can I get that anywhere do you know? |
Micron pigma pen in .05 size. i do heat set just to be certain.

I do the same as 'nativetexan'. I got my pens as a set of 6 from Joann's with a 60% coupon. Sorry about your laptop. Good luck with your label!

Pentel just got smart and actually developed a pen that is MEANT for fabric. This pen is awesome. Have done 5 test washes and it has not faded or run at all. The ink is as black as when I first wrote with it!

Cindi, thanks for the Pentel information...like the others, I have used Micron pens for my labels.

Cindi thanks for the info on the pens. They are already ordered and on the way. I can't wait to try them. I wish they came in colors.
