My table is perfect for me, but the bed risers sounds like a great idea!!!

I went to walmart and bought a set of Bed Risers for $8! Works like a charm.

6 foot executive desk top. Sitting on cabinets. Takes up half the room.

alas, I had on I got from Jo-anns, and sold it, it was the perfect size, bought a new table and now I have the same problem you have. I haate to give up the casters but the bed risers are worth considering. Maybe you could build a table to put on the top and use some laminate or plexiglass or something on top to work on, that is what I did for the big board and it works wonderful

I have put bed risers on my tables. They worked great.

I use the kitchen island. It's big enough to hold my biggest cutting mat. AND (The biggest benefit??) I have to clear off the island to use it for cutting.

I have the opposite problem. Im short only 5 ft. I have a regular cutting table with the drop down leaves.
It is too high for me so have to stand on a foot stool that 6 in high. The table is 35 in tall.
Love the table for the small area it takes up when not in use. I also use it to pin my quilts but do have to move the quilt to pin it all.

I use an antique dresser that was given to me by a dear friend. It is the perfect height and has drawers. My husband just took the mirror off and stored it. Doesn't take up much room, has storage and a 24x36 mat fits on it perfectly.

I wish I had that problem, I have a case of "short legs". My husband built me a drop leaf table for my sewing room. It's 27" high. I just love it!

I love my cutting table from JoAnn's... it folds down to a manageable size when I'm not using it, and I can roll it to where I need it, and the height is perfect for my 5'5"... but if you have a table with legs and can put the bed risers under it, that should solve your problem... and would be a bit more economical!! My DH and I were running errands once and went past a JoAnn's and I just mentioned the table as a future wish list and he turned around and said let's just get it now!! It was a happy day!!!
