Have found that more and more, I get up from the sewing machine with a sore back. Despite support and making myself sit up straight. What kind of chair do you use to relieve or minimize that sore back syndrome?

I have my machine on a high table and stand while I'm sewing. Much more comfortable to me.

I have an office chair wiht adjustable height, It helps but I still get sore if I go beyond four hours

Adjustable office chair, but my posture in the chair makes my back hurt, not the chair. I lean forward and do not let the chair support my back. Best thing I have found for my back is putting a Lidoderm (lidocaine) 8 hr patch on my spine before I start sewing.

In our classroom we have mostly Bernina chairs which we sell ...we also sell Koala chairs......Personally I like the Koala chair which can be ordered in colors and many wood shades......all for the same price......but many customers who have tried both prefer the Bernina chair I believe the Bernina chair is made by Horn....which we also sell....but we don,t have any of those in our shop......good luck in your search!

I have an office chair but it's a drafting chair that I use at it's lowest - that keeps me high enough that I'm not hitching my shoulders up. I also use a Gypsy Sit-Upon cushion - I have lower back issues (sciatica sp?) - the cushion helps as it prevents the compression when you lean to one side or another.

Yoga, the stretching really helps me

I use an adjustable eronomic office chair. They are designed for people to sit in all day long at their desk.

I am not using the correct chair because my back hurts too.
|
I use an amrless office chair that adjusts in height. I have one at each machine, I love them. Just have trouble keeping my grandsons from being too rough with them!
