one of my favorite magazines for just looking at is quilt sampler it features quilt shops in different states and shows the inside of them the staff and how they started etc...just alot of fun for looking at and if you travel it would be alot more fun because then you could plan a trip to one that might be off the beaten path...and they do feature a quilt for each one of them so you could actually do a project to...I love looking at cozy quilt shops...this magazine is only out twice a year though Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter...but oh so fun to look at...

My vote would be McCall's or Fons & Porter.

i just subscribed to BHG American Patchwork and Quilting . . . .

i get all of the others from the library - McCalls, F & P, and several others.

if you have a library close by, you might try that. it has saved us TONS of money. our library is in a group so i can go out on-line and request what i want. if my local library doesn't have it, they will bring it in from one of the others in the group. takes 3-4 days, but still saves money!

I finally bought my first quilt magazine a couple of weeks ago - the American Quilting Society one. I do, however, have several quilt books. It's almost as inexpensive to go to Half-Price Books and buy their books with no advertising to wade through as it is to buy quilt magazines.

Of course, in the one magazine I bought, I did find a fabric supplier offering a free catalog . . . .

I agree that the library is a HUGE resource if you have one near. We are not currently in a library-friendly city, but my daughter works at a bookstore and if I find something I want, she buys it and uses her discount - 35%!!!!

Fons and Porter. They have two, "For the Love of Quilts" and "Easy Quilts". Either way their patterns are easy to follow and the magazine is well designed.
I spend a lot of time at the library with quilting books.

I subscribe to about 5 different quilting magazines, but I truly think that Fabric Trends is my favorite. I always find something I want to make in each issue.

I am a magazine addict, too!

If I had to subscribe to just one, though, it would be Australian Homespun bc it's got lovely quilts, and also dolls and bags and cross-stitch. Not too many ads, and the ones they do have are usually for local shops. Great magazine!

I like to get the QuiltMaker's All-Time favorites. It only comes out a few times a year. But it's usually 12 patterns from previous issues.

I just put a pic on my profile and realized it's already taken. Guess I need to go find a new one so you won't confuse me with GrannyCat (she had it first, darn it)

I use to get them all but now only subscribe to Fons and Porter ....Did You Know................ Eleanor Burns is publishing a QIAD magazine, should be making it's debut in April at Paducah. :D :D :D :D
